I’m Lis McGuire, a registered career development professional (RCDP) and the founder of Giraffe CVs.
I’ve always enjoyed writing CVs, initially for myself as a graduate job seeker and, later, for others.
Before I even became a full-time CV writer, I had written hundreds of CVs: team CVs for consultancy staff; CVs for inclusion in £multi-million proposals; and CVs for friends who asked me for help. Making this into my own business seemed a logical next step.
Since starting Giraffe CVs in 2004, I have worked with over 2,000 job seekers from graduate to C-Level, across all types of roles and sectors.
I set up Giraffe CVs with the aim of helping my clients aim high, stand tall, and get spotted, just like the magnificent giraffe. I do this by creating interview-winning CVs, credible LinkedIn profiles, and compelling cover letters.
